It was just worrisome because it doesn't tell you _what_ it was actually trying to download so I have no idea if something was out of sync and would become a problem later. So in my case it was just an annoying popup in the client AFAIK. However, I was still able to start and play fallen order without any in-game issues. In my case, it would throw up the "Windows blocked our attempt to download." dialog in the Origin client window and as others have described, if I selected Retry or Close it was never followed up by a permissions request dialog from Windows. I am not sure if I had the same problem exactly because it sounds like this was blocking others from playing origin installed games. What helped today was a link provided by a fellow forum user in the *right* forum for this (Origin Client Issues).ĭownload this older version of Origin via the link below (remove the star at the end) AND UNCHECK AUTOMATIC UPDATES FOR EVERYTHING.
